Now, every time I put on any makeup product, be it a kajal or just a simple red lipstick, removing it off completely becomes an ultimate Herculean task for me. Initially, I tried baby cream (yes, I admit I just did that), after which I switched to milk cleansers which were like “ok, I just need patience.” With Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, all these issues came to an end. Yes, I totally mean that!
Yes, today’s post is Blooming Pen’s first product review, which today, would be on Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Bi Phase Water.
Before starting off with the review post, I would like to clarify that this post contains affiliate links; which means for every purchase you make I may get a small commission. Don’t worry, I won’t recommend something I DON’T LIKE!
I ordered it via Amazon Prime, of course, my favourite online shopping destination. I got for 225 INR for 125 ml. There comes another variant which costs 175 INR for 125 ml which is for removing everyday makeup. But since I prefer a product that can even remove waterproof makeup, I chose the former.
As per Garnier, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Bi Phase Water is infused with Micellar technology along with Argan Oil. The present micelles basically act like a magnet and lift the residue. On the other hand, the oils help in dissolving traces of your makeup along with helping to nourish your skin. As a result, it helps in providing you with a cleansed and nourished skin.
You just need to apply on your face or eyes or lips wherever required with cotton pads. And yes, no rubbing. So that’s kind of a relief for me!
I got it from Amazon Prime and thankfully I got within a day. The micellar water comes in a transparent bottle, which is like this.
As claimed, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Bi Phase Water does actually have oils. When I first touched it, the texture seemed like more of an oil than a regular water.
Before starting my review, I would like to clarify that I am no makeup pro. The products that I mostly use for daily purposes are lipsticks, eyeliner and kajal. And unfortunately removing them is actually one of the toughest jobs. So today, I’ll be reviewing Garnier Micellar Cleansing Bi Phase Water mainly using these two makeup products.
As you can see, there are lucid two layers of liquid. Of course, you need to shake it before using.
The bottle is one of the best things about the product. Well, because it’s super travel-friendly. Of course, you need to close the lid properly, else it’s going to spill everywhere.
I opened the bottle and, thanks to my habit, I smelled it first. And, unlike I was expecting, it actually smelled good. It has that deodorant or perfume kind of smell that is in fact really pleasant.
I first used it on lipsticks, the ones that I am using are Maybelline Color Show Creamy Matte Lip Color in the shade of M202 Firecracker Red and Maybelline Lip Gradation in the shade Pink 2.
I used Garnier Micellar Bi Phase Cleansing Water on a cotton and swiped it for both of them.
Maybelline Color Show Creamy Matte Lip Color Firecracker Red
As you can see, just a single swipe had removed quite a decent amount of the lip color.
Now, this was the result of two swipes, which is actually quite commendable.
Now, let’s check out for the Lip Gradation Pink 2 one.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Pink 2
Like the Firecracker Red, it worked the same for this one as well, leaving a slight trace of the lipstick.
And that’s my hand after complete removal. If you notice minutely, you can clearly see that there are traces of the lip colour still left. However, it actually worked much better than my ordinary milk cleansers.
Now, let’s move to the most difficult one, at least for me, which is Kajals.
Kajals, especially the long-lasting waterproof ones had always been my biggest concern when it comes to makeup removal. And, like almost everyone I guess, I prefer waterproof ones.
For my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Bi Phase Water, I have used two waterproof kajals, the Faces Magneteyes Kajal and Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Gel Liner.
Faces Magneteyes Kajal
Here’s the Faces kajal going first.
And, here goes my first swipe.
Yes, it actually took off quite a lot of it. In one swipe!
Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Gel Liner Black
While Faces Magneteyes can be quite easy to deal with, the real challenge for me was to remove the Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Gel Liner Black that actually stays for hours. And to set the major challenge, I have applied several layers of it.
And here goes Garnier Micellar Bi Phase Water in just one swipe! Yes, just in ONE SWIPE!
And this is after two swipes. More or less the same though!
And this is finally my hand after all the swipes.
- Does what it claims. Actually, removes quite a lot of makeup in just a few swipes.
- Travel-friendly bottle.
- Reasonably priced.
- Available in different variants for different skin types.
- Leaves subtle traces of lipsticks.
